Linzer Cookie Half Caff - Holiday Blend
Linzer Cookie Half Caff - Holiday Blend
Our half-caff holiday blend is a 50/50 mix of two outstanding coffees: our upcoming Strawberry Banana Co-Ferment and our El Placer Traditional Decaf. It’s balanced, cozy, and perfect for the moments when you want the taste of a festive cup without the full caffeine commitment. This reminds us of Linzer cookies... the shortbread duo with the tiny jam window that exists solely to prove there is jam in there. The cup carries the same idea: a bit of jam brightness, a light sugar sweetness, and shortbread simplicity.
About our El Placer Traditional Decaf EA:

This lot of Caturra was grown high at 1750–2000 m.a.s.l., then decaffeinated using Colombia’s signature sugarcane EA (ethyl acetate) method, which removes caffeine while preserving sweetness and origin character. Beans are lightly steamed to open their pores, then washed repeatedly with ethyl acetate extracted from fermented sugarcane. The EA naturally bonds to caffeine and removes it without aggressively stripping flavour. After rinsing and drying, the coffee is stabilized to protect its oils and aromatics, resulting in a decaf that still has body, clarity, and sweetness.
About our Strawberry Banana Co-ferment:
Our El Eden Banana co-ferment coffee started with a honey process and went on to a lovely 48-hour co-fermentation with banana juice. Once fermentation was complete, it was fully dried in the sun.
This is very similar to one of our all-time favourites this year, the banana coferment coffee (OG's will remember) and we have enjoyed it as a pour-over and as espresso.
