Balanced energy with a playful fruit edge.
Half calm, half expressive.

The Placer x Eden Half Caff is crafted for balance without compromise, a 50/50 blend that brings together classic structure and playful fruit in one cohesive cup.

One-half comes from El Placer Coffee Project, led by Sebastián Ramírez in Quindío, Colombia. This Caturra lot is decaffeinated using Colombia’s sugarcane EA (ethyl acetate) method, gently removing caffeine while preserving sweetness, body, and origin character. It provides a foundation of cocoa depth, sugarcane softness, and mild citrus clarity that anchors the blend.

The other half features a strawberry banana co-ferment from El Edén. Beginning as a honey process, the coffee undergoes a 48-hour co-fermentation with banana juice before being fully sun-dried. The result is lifted aromatics and juicy fruit character, expressive yet polished, designed to complement rather than overpower.

Together, they create a cup that feels complete and easy to revisit throughout the day. Expect soft strawberry brightness, rounded vanilla sweetness, and a subtle walnut finish. The body is smooth and cohesive, with fruit layered gently over a chocolate-driven base.

This half caff highlights how thoughtful blending and careful processing can deliver flavour, balance, and approachability, offering a composed yet playful profile from first sip to finish.

Why We Chose This Coffee

We chose this blend because it reflects a different kind of balance, not just in caffeine, but in intention. Bringing together a carefully produced decaf and a fruit-forward co-ferment isn’t the obvious path, but here it feels considered rather than experimental for its own sake.

What stood out to us is how naturally the two components meet. The structure from El Placer creates space, while the co-ferment from El Edén brings lift and softness. Neither competes nor dominates; they simply settle into each other.

It’s a coffee shaped around how people actually drink. Something you can return to more than once a day, without losing interest or feeling overwhelmed.

A blend that understands both restraint and expression, and knows when to lean into each.
