Motivated by a return to his roots, Habil Olakes and his family transformed their farm in Western Kenya into a sustainable coffee estate. Shifting from crops like corn and chickens to coffee, they addressed challenges like soil fertility and theft, while creating new opportunities for their community.
The Yello Diamonds Estate employs sustainable methods like beekeeping for pollination and composting coffee husks and chicken manure to enrich the soil. The farm also serves as a training hub, empowering local residents in coffee production.
